We’re excited to release a significant update to our popular Gather tool. We’ve introduced a new reporting dashboard with a range of new metrics to help you better understand the overall performance of the tool.

The report is available in the Results section of the Reporting area, and includes three key sections containing various information, as detailed below.

Summary

In the Summary section, a number of analytics will help you see:

• a break down of different contribution types into submissions, views, votes and comments
• an interactive graph of key interactions over time.
• a breakdown of submission types into text, image and text, and video and text
• a breakdown of submissions by the category selected by participants (if enabled)
• a table of the most recent submissions to the activity
• tables of the most viewed, most commented, and most popular submissions (calculated using our popularity algorithm), along with a range of associated information (title, media thumbnail, date posted, username, category, views, up-votes, down-votes, popularity score and comments).

The Summary Report can be easily exported as a ready-to-present PDF.

Overview

The Overview section provides a sense of how the tool has performed overall and lets you understand:

• the number of member contributors and contributions compared to the number of anonymous contributors and contributions
• contribution activity over time visualised as an interactive line graph
• the technology used by the participant to engage with the tool including the device type and browser version
• member demographics including gender, age and age by gender (if collected)
• member locations presented as both a map and a table.

The Overview Report can also be exported as a PDF.

Data

The Data section provides the same tabular data provided in the previous version, and allows data to be exported as a .csv or .xls file.
