The latest update to The HiVE takes the industry’s most comprehensive spatial engagement tool and makes it even better, with an overhauled block UI and the ability to draw or drop feature layers, shapes and pins.

New social map block UI

Previously the Social Map could accept layers via file uploads, requiring you to create separate layers and upload them. While the overhauled Social Map still allows layer file uploads such as GeoJSON, it also allows you to draw feature layers such as shapes or lines, or drop feature pins to denote specific areas of interest or important places.

You will be able to add content such as title, description and image to your feature layers that visitors can then pop-up for a richer experience.

This extends the possibilities of the Social Map even further, inviting you to get creative and allowing you to create visually rich maps with informative layers quickly and easily without relying on third party tools.

Alongside this feature update, we’ve also overhauled the block UI, introducing a bigger, more easily navigable interface that allows you to preview your map changes. This interface should make it easier to create great-looking maps that invite participation and communicate detail.

These updates reinforce the Social Map’s place as the most flexible and feature-rich spatial engagement tool on the market, increasing the possibilities of your map-based engagements and making it easier than ever to communicate and engage spatially.
