We’ve made some changes to the way Social Map behaves for mobile users to improve the interface and provide a much smoother user experience.

This includes ensuring the map is visible in all states, moving any side panels below the map for mobile users.

We’ve also improved the accuracy of markers so participants can accurately pinpoint an exact location. Rather than clicking a point in the map, which can be clumsy and cumbersome, participants will be presented with a central target, which they can move and resize the map underneath by pinching, pulling or scrolling. This is a far more precise, elegant and intuitive solution for marker dropping.

We’ve restricted the height of the map on mobile to ensure all controls are in the viewport, making the layout of the map easy to navigate and understand.

We’ve also implemented two finger panning to improve the scrolling experience - no more accidental map scrolling when visitors want to scroll down the page.

On top of this, we’ve made a range of tweaks to the interface design to ensure the Social Map always looks great and behaves logically, is easy to understand and interact with, and gives your visitors an engaging experience that invites participation.
